California Privacy Notice
This notice supplements the Rinaldi Services LLC Privacy Policy for California residents. It addresses the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and, to the extent applicable to Rinaldi Services LLC, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the CCPA).
Coverage note: The CCPA applies only when statutory coverage criteria are met. This notice does not represent that Rinaldi Services LLC currently meets every CCPA business threshold. Where the CCPA applies, Rinaldi Services LLC will provide and honor the rights and request methods required by law.
Categories of personal information
During the preceding 12 months, depending on which features were used, Rinaldi Services LLC may have collected the following California categories:
| Category | Examples used by Rinaldi Services LLC | Primary purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, phone, account/user ID, IP/device identifiers made available to service infrastructure | Accounts, communication, service delivery, security |
| California customer-record information | Contact information, service address, transaction/account records | Provide and document services |
| Commercial information | Services requested, quotes, appointments, invoices, payment/refund history | Operations, billing, customer history |
| Internet/network activity | Session/security events, browser/device information, website interaction data necessary to operate the service | Authentication, security, reliability |
| Geolocation-related information | Service or billing address voluntarily provided by the customer; the website does not intentionally require background precise GPS tracking | Service delivery and travel planning |
| Professional/employment information | Staff role, permissions, team profile, schedule and work-related account data | Business administration |
| Sensitive personal information, in limited contexts | Account authentication information; payment information processed by Square; private customer communications and service attachments | Secure account access, payment, requested services |
Sources
We obtain personal information directly from consumers, automatically from the browser/device and infrastructure used to operate the website, from authorized Rinaldi Services LLC staff, and from service providers when needed to confirm authentication, payments, email delivery, security events, or other requested functions.
Business and commercial purposes
We use information to provide and support services; process bookings, quotes, work orders, invoices and payments; maintain accounts; communicate with customers; protect security; prevent fraud and misuse; keep required business records; improve reliability; and comply with law.
Disclosure for business purposes
Personal information may be disclosed to service providers/contractors such as website hosting, authentication/database/storage, payment processing, transactional email, security/infrastructure, and professional-service providers when reasonably necessary for the business purpose. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights or safety, or at the consumer's direction.
Sale or sharing of personal information
Rinaldi Services LLC does not currently sell personal information for money and does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The website is not currently configured with behavioral advertising trackers. Accordingly, there is no current sale/share activity for a consumer to opt out of through this site.
If practices change in a way that triggers a California opt-out right, Rinaldi Services LLC will provide the legally required privacy-choice mechanism and honor qualifying opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control as required.
Sensitive personal information
Rinaldi Services LLC uses sensitive personal information only as reasonably necessary for account authentication/security, payment processing, requested communications, requested services, fraud prevention, and other ordinary operational purposes. Rinaldi Services LLC does not currently use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics for advertising. If a legally required right to limit becomes applicable to a different use, the required choice mechanism will be provided.
Retention
We retain each category only as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purposes, service fulfillment, security, disputes, and legal/accounting/tax/warranty obligations. Customer-account deletion ordinarily uses a 30-day waiting period, but transaction, service, security, accounting, tax, legal, fraud-prevention, or warranty records may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required.
California privacy rights
To the extent the CCPA applies, California consumers may have the right to:
- Know/access categories and specific pieces of personal information collected.
- Request deletion, subject to legal exceptions.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing, if the business engages in activity subject to that right.
- Limit certain uses/disclosures of sensitive personal information, when the statutory right applies.
- Receive equal service and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.
- Use an authorized agent where permitted by law.
How to submit a California request
Email contact@rinaldiservices.com with the subject California Privacy Request, or use the Contact page. Signed-in customers may also use available account-profile and deletion controls.
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity or authority. Verification information is used for that purpose. If additional request methods are legally required because the CCPA becomes applicable to Rinaldi Services LLC, those methods will be provided.
Notice at collection
At or before collection, the website identifies the immediate purpose of forms and account features through labels, form text, and links to this Privacy Policy. The categories generally collected through website forms include identifiers/contact information, service/transaction information, communications, and—when voluntarily uploaded—service attachments. Rinaldi Services LLC uses those categories for the purposes described above and does not retain them longer than reasonably necessary for those purposes and applicable obligations.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because the current site does not use behavioral advertising or sell/share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, it does not currently take a separate action in response to the legacy browser “Do Not Track” header. If Rinaldi Services LLC engages in a practice subject to CCPA sale/share opt-out requirements, qualifying Global Privacy Control or other legally recognized opt-out preference signals will be honored as required by law.
Minors
Rinaldi Services LLC does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising. The website and services are not directed to children under 13.
California “Shine the Light”
Rinaldi Services LLC does not currently disclose customer personal information to third parties for the third parties' own direct-marketing purposes. California residents with questions may use the privacy-request contact method above.
Updates
This California notice will be reviewed and updated when practices or applicable California requirements materially change. The effective/last-updated date above identifies the current version.
